So, what is Bookish Bris?
Bookish Bris is an online bookstore based in Northern Brisbane, created by writers and readers who love indie books. We want to play our part in supporting the local writing community, and while we’ll still offer mainstream titles, we’ll also put indie books on the frontlines when our store is ready to roll.
What makes us different from other local bookstores?
While we’re still in the beta process, this is a hard question to prove. But while we may be a little ambitious, we’ll still tell you what our goals are.

I’m an indie author - how do I get my book looked at?
First of all, congratulations for putting your work out there! To get your book on our website or in our Subscription Book Boxes, we’ll just need to assess the quality of your story. Don’t worry - we aren’t picky with genres, we’ll just get our professional editors to read over it and ensure the story is of a professional standard. If you’re confident in your writing and your story, you’ll most likely be approved.

Note: All approved indie authors will be taken on as a consignment deal. For indie authors based outside of Brisbane, you must have your book on Ingram Spark for us to order at a wholesale discount. If you’re a Brisbane author, we’re happy to hold a small percentage of your books at a time until they sell.
